YOU'RE ONLY GIVEN A LITTLE SPARK OF MADNESS. YOU MUSTN'T LOSE IT.
Doodles & Collage
Doodling and collage work have always been things I have been drawn to (unintentional pun). I love the layering that can be achieved. Many of the collages shown here focus on the use of layers and the idea of constructed beauty. This, to me, can be achieved through the use of makeup and digital manipulation. Recently, I have started to move away from this in in favor of exploring stress and anxiety, my main area of concentration.
The doodles, generally, are more a reflection of my moods at the time. Sometimes they are light and cheery, sometimes stress, and sometimes they are simply all over the place. When I am drawing them I try not to think and just do them them as quickly as I can. They aren't clean and they aren't perfect. Sometimes I refer to them as my bad doodles. It helps me accept they don't have to be perfect and it helps me to embrace their silliness and imperfections.
Travel & Photography
Traveling and photography are two of my other passions that usually go together. I certainly have the travel bug. My biggest, and one of my most recent travels, was studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was so eye opening to different cultures, designs, and history. I couldn't help but to take photos to help me capture my experiences. I loved spending a day by hopping on my bike with my camera in search of interesting places to explore and photograph.
